Pioneer Lewis A. Beaumont, Royal Engineers, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 19 September 1915. Awarded the M.M. for bravery and mentioned in Sir Douglas Haig’s despatch of 9 April 1917, He later served as a Serjeant in the Labour Corps. Sold with a photograph of the recipient in uniform and copied research.
