Six: Quartermaster E. J. Kysow, Royal Fleet Auxiliary

1939-45 Star; Africa Star; Italy Star; Defence and War Medals; South Atlantic 1982, with rosette (QM., R.F.A. Olmeda), mounted as worn, good very fine and better, scarce combination (6) £340-380

Quartermaster Kysow served aboard R.F.A. Olmeda in the Falklands Campaign. The Olmeda, a fast fleet replenishment ship, arrived in the South Atlantic on 1 May 1982 and was utilized in refuelling the ships of the task force, whilst her Sea King Mk.2 helicopters of 824 Squadron transferred stores. The ship returned to Plymouth on 12 July 1982.

Sold with copied ‘Account of Wages’, for voyage to Australia, October 1939-February 1940; W.W.2 medal forwarding slip, unnamed, and M.O.D. letter re. South Atlantic rosettes and ribbon addressed to Kysow at 86 Thorold Road, Ilford, Essex.
