Captain Thomas Nicholson, of Matheson Road, Stornaway, Isle of Lewis, commanding the Stornoway Section, Ross Mountain Battery, was wounded at the Dardenelles, 29 June 1915. Sold with a photocopied photograph of the recipient and some details of the Ross Mountain Battery.
