Three: Private H. Elson, Border Regiment

Harry Elson was born in and enlisted at Northampton. Serving in the 1st Battalion Border Regiment he was killed in action at Gallipoli on 28 April 1915, aged 22 years. Elson was one of the 4 officers and 26 other ranks of the battalion killed that day in an attack near Krithia. He was the son of Mrs Catherine Elson of 34 Market Street, Northampton. His name is commemorated on the Helles Memorial.
