Fus.); Army Meritorious Service Medal, G.VI.R., 1st issue (501 Sjt. W. Hamilton, R. Dub. Fus.), note different initial, good very fine and better (3) £450-550

501 Serjeant J. Hamilton, 2nd Battalion Royal Dublin Fusiliers, was severely wounded at Colenso, 15 December 1899. Long Service medal awarded by Army Order 172, October 1903; M.S.M. awarded by Army Order 192/1944. A total of 37 Annuity M.S.M’s. awarded to the Royal Dublin Fusiliers.
