Crimea 1854-56, 3 clasps, Alma, Inkermann, Sebastopol (No.1077 Jas. P. Thomas, R.S.M.), engraved naming; Indian Mutiny 1857-59, 1 clasp, Central India (Sapper, 11th Compy. Ryl. Engrs.); Turkish Crimea 1855, British issue (No.1077 James Thomas Royal S. and Miners), engraved naming, plugged and with replacement straight bar suspension, edge bruising and contact marks, nearly very fine and better (3) £700-800

Sapper James P. Thomas, Royal Engineers, was severely wounded at the siege of Kotah, 29 March 1858.
