George Coleman was born in St. Davids, Exeter on 28 August 1860. He entered the Royal Marines on 28 August 1878, serving on the Royal Yacht Victoria and Albert, April 1881-December 1884. He was awarded the Long Service medal (his only award) in November 1888 and was discharged in August 1899. Sold with copied service papers.
