James William Barker was born in Hazel Grove, Chester and enlisted at Oldham. Serving with the 12th Battalion Manchester Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 23 December 1915, aged 30 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial. He was the son of James Joseph and Mary Ann Barker of 273 Oldham Road, Longsight, Oldham.

George Brierley was born in and enlisted at Oldham. Serving with the 11th Battalion Manchester Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 3 October 1918, aged 24 years. He was buried in the Sucrerie Cemetery, Epinoy. He was the son of Joseph Henry and Susannah Brierley of 9 Bolton Street, Oldham.

Thomas Leigh was born in Longsight, Manchester and enlisted at Manchester. Serving with the 1st/8th Battalion Manchester Regiment, he died of wounds, Gallipoli, on 31 May 1915, aged 18 years. He was buried in the Lancashire Landing Cemetery. He was the son of Robert and Elizabeth Leigh of Manchester.
