Hong Kong Plague 1894, silver issue (Private W. Claymore, 1st K.S.L.I.), replacement claw and ring suspension, renamed, some edge bruising, very fine £300-400

Walter Claymore was born at Wellington, Shropshire and enlisted in the Shropshire Light Infantry in December 1891, aged 21 years. As verified by his service papers, he was based in Hong Kong between 1892-94 and in India between 1894-1904, returning to the U.K. in the latter year, where he was discharged that September.
