Indian Mutiny 1857-59, no clasp (James Stephens, No. 3 Indian Naval Brigade) one or two edge bruises and lightly engraved collector’s mark to left of obverse field, good very fine and rare £600-800

Ex Captain K. J. Douglas-Morris collection, 16 October 1996 (Lot 179).

James Stephens served with No. 3 Brigade and was engaged in the action at Jehanabad, above Allahabad, on 22 August 1857, and at the two affairs at Doomraon in August and October 1858. He was discharged from the service on 4 April 1859.
