(2 Lieut., Monmouth. R.); British War and Victory Medals (2 Lieut.), officially impressed naming in smaller than usual capitals, together with related I.D. disc, good very fine and better (3) £100-120

According to the recipient’s MIC entry, the above described awards were issued to him in January 1925.

He first entered the French theatre of war as a 2nd Lieutenant in the 3rd Battalion, Monmouthshire Regiment in December 1915, but from July 1917, in which month he was advanced to Lieutenant, he was employed by the Army Signal Service, and is recorded on the Reserve of Officers (T.A.) as a member of the Royal Signals until the 1930s.
