(1653 Pte., 1/2 Mon. R.); British War and Victory Medals (1653 Cpl., Monmouth. R.), together with a related R.A.O.B. badge, silver-gilt and enamels, the reverse named and dated 1 September 1920, generally very fine (4) £100-120

James Kelly first entered the French theatre of war as a Private in the 2nd Battalion, Monmouthshire Regiment in early November 1914. Subsequently advanced to Corporal, he appears to have been discharged prior to the end of hostilities.
