Private Ernest Newnham, Surrey Yeomanry, brother of S. J. Newnham, was wounded at Jenimah, 28 August 1917 - taking a gunshot wound to the left leg and scalp. Sold with damaged lid to medal card box of issue and ‘Field Medical Card’ detailing Ernest Newnham’s wounds and treatment by the 827th Ambulance detail; also with war diary extract covering the incident and copied medal index cards for both brothers.
