Private Kevin Francis Aloysius Moran, “A” Squadron, Surrey Yeomanry, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 21 December 1914. Later serving in the Machine Gun Corps, he was commissioned a Temporary 2nd Lieutenant in the Tank Corps on 30 January 1918. In the Second World War he was appointed a 2nd Lieutenant in the Hampshire Regiment, 28 June 1940; a War Substantive Lieutenant, 29 September 1940 and a Temporary Captain, 12 September 1943.
