Military General Service 1793-1814, 3 clasps, Talavera, Busaco, Salamanca (C. Alexander, Serjeant, 61st Foot) edge bruising, contact marks, good fine £700-900

Ex Baldwins 1948.

Charles Alexander was born in Calne, Wiltshire. A Labourer by occupation, he enlisted into the Army in April 1802 and served with the 61st Foot from 5 April 1803. Serving with them at the battle of Salamanca, he received wounds to the chest and arm. Serjeant Alexander was discharged on 30 September 1813 as a consequence of his wounds. Clasps confirmed. Sold with copied discharge papers and research.
