Private William John Dunbar, 24th Battalion Canadian Infantry (Quebec Regiment), was killed in action on 17 September 1916, aged 36 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial. He was the husband of Catherine Ross (formerly Dunbar) of 278 McCord Street, Montreal.
