15th The King’s Hussars, Watercolour by Richard Simkin, a large scale work (50cm x 35cm) portraying five different scenes, central area shows a mounted officer in Review Order c1881-1901, with five mounted troopers in the background; above left a mounted Regimental Sergeant-Major in full dress, above right a mounted officer in Undress uniform, pill box hat plain black sabretache etc.; lower left a mounted Senior NCO in Full Dress with drawn sabre, plain black leather sabretache and bedding roll; lower right a mounted trumpeter in Undress uniform, pill box hat, blowing trumpet but also equipped with a bugle, signed in the centre ‘R.Simkin 4/85’; contained in a mounted glazed frame, three small neatly repaired tears otherwise good overall condition £400-500
