26th Foot Medal 1823, by Narcisse, obv. ‘Religion’ seated on a rock presenting a medal to a soldier, legend ‘Thou Art Worthy’ and in exergue, ‘Be Thou Faithful Unto Death’; rev. crown above crossed regimental colours, inscribed, ‘Cameronian 26th Regt.’ and the battle honours, ‘Egypt, Corunna’, in exergue ‘1823’, manufactured by Rundell, Bridge and Rundell, 43mm., silver, unnamed, with replacement rings for suspension (Balmer R.265a), some edge bruises, otherwise very fine £80-100
