Private J. A. Earley, 2nd /4th Battalion Hampshire Regiment, M.M. London Gazette 11 December 1918 (France).

Fred James Earley was born and lived in Northwood, Isle of Wight and enlisted at Winchester. Serving with the 12th Battalion Hampshire Regiment, he was killed in action in the Balkans, 25 April 1917, aged 26 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Doiran Memorial. He was the son of Frederick J. and Maria Earley of 3 Spring Cottages, Mark’s Corner, Newport, Isle of Wight.
