The Anglo-Russian Hospital in St Petersburg was opened in October 1915 in the Palace of the Grand Duke Dimitri Pavlovich. Organised by the British Red Cross Society and maintained by a British Committee, the hospital was handed over to the Russian Red Cross in 1918.
