Herbert Dean was born in Rishton, Lancashire and enlisted at Blackburn, serving initially in the R.F.A. Serving with the 6th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 9 October 1917, aged 26 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial. He was the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Dean of 19 Shear Brow, Blackburn and husband of Lilly Dean.

Ernest Lockwood lived in Wombwell, Yorkshire and enlisted at Rotherham. Serving with the 2nd/5th Battalion York and Lancaster Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 3 May 1917. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Arras Memorial.

George Henshaw was born in Liscard, Cheshire and living in Bootle, enlisted at Seaforth, Lancashire. Serving in the 9th Battalion Welsh Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 16 April 1918. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial.
