The son of Andrew Ernest and Annie Whitworth of Birmingham and husband of Winifred Lilian Whitworth of 24 Ivor Road, Sparkhill, Birmingham; he was buried in St. Vaast Post Military cemetery, Richebourg-l’Avoue, pas de calais, France.
