Research now indicates that there were two men of this name serving in the Mountain Battery at this period, one in the 1st/21st MB (commissioned August 1934), the other in the 6th/33rd MB (commissioned August 1935). Only the latter served in World War II; neither man is confirmed as a recipient of the Order of British India
