Clifford Kelsall was born in Glossop, Derbyshire and living in Tintwistle, Lancashire, enlisted in Chester. Serving with the 16th Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 6 July 1916, aged 19 years. Having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial. He was the son of William Kelsall of 3 Amfield Lane, Tintwistle, Manchester.
