Three: Private J. O. Dunn, 6th, late 1st South African Infantry

1914-15 Star (Pte., 1st Infantry); British War and Bilingual Victory Medals (Pte., 6th S.A.I.) extremely fine (3) £100-140

John Oliver Dunn was born in New South Wales and was living in Durban when he attested for service with the South African Expeditionary Forces on 2 December 1915; having previously served with the Durban Light Infantry in the German South-West Africa campaign. He was disharged as being unfit for tropical service on 25 October 1917.

Sold with original 1914-15 Star certificate for service in the German South-West Africa campaign; cloth chevron, original card medal boxes of issue (damaged) and copied service papers.
