Sidney George Lockyer enlisted at Newport, Isle of Wight. Serving with the 1/6th Battalion Hampshire Regiment, he died, Mesopotamia, 26 May 1918, aged 34 years. His name is commemorated on the Basra Memorial. He was the husband of Sarah Louise Lockyer, 71 South Street, Newport, Isle of Wight.
