Lieutenant-Colonel James Morrison Gardiner Bremner was twice mentioned in despatches, London Gazette 18 January 1918 and 5 June 1919) and awarded the O.B.E., London Gazette 3 June 1919, for distinguished service in Egypt.

William Cecil Bosanquet was the son of Admiral G. S. Bosanquet, and was educated at Eton and New College, Oxford (Fellow 1890-97). Qualified M.D. and F.R.C.S., he was Consulting Physician to Charing Cross Hospital, Physician to Brompton Hospital for Consumption, and Physician to London Lock Hospital.
