Indian Mutiny 1857-59, no clasp (Lt. L. B. Bance, 47th Madras N.I.); Afghanistan 1878-80, no clasp (Maj. Lacy Bowring Bance, 15th M.N.I.); India General Service 1854-94, 2 clasps, Burma 1885-87, Burma 1887-89 (Colonel L. B. Bance, 15th Madras Infy.) second clasp loose as issued, light contact marks, otherwise good very fine or better (3) £600-700

Lacy Bowring Bance was appointed Ensign on the Madras Establishment on 10 September 1856, and promoted to Lieutenant in December 1857. He was present at the capture of Copul on the 1st June 1858, and served with the Bellary Movable Column under Brigadier Spottiswoode in 1858 (Medal). He served in the Afghan War in 1880(Medal); and with the Burmese Expedition in 1886-88 (Medal with two clasps). He became Commandant of the 15th Madras Infantry in April 1882 and was promoted to Colonel in September 1886.
