Harold Saxon was born in Hadfield, Derbyshire and enlisted at Manchester. Serving with the 2nd Battalion Manchester Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 25 October 1914. Having no known grave, his name is commemoprated on the Le Touret Memorial.

Thomas Needham was born in Shepshed, Leicestershire and living in Loughborough, enlisted at Nottingham. Serving with the 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters, he died of wounds, France/Flanders, on 12 June 1915, aged 29 years. He was buried in the Boulogne Eastern Cemetery. He was the son of Mr & Mrs Needham of 58 Regent Street, Loughborough.
