Indian Mutiny 1857-59, 1 clasp, Central India (Patrick Williams, 3rd Bombay Eurpn. Regt.) good very fine £500-600

Patrick Williams from Co. Clare, Ireland, enlisted into the Bombay European Regiment on 19 March 1853. Serving with the 3rd Bombay European Regiment in the Indian Mutiny, he was severely wounded at Jhansi, 3 April 1858. He was discharged on 20 February 1860 being ‘incapable of any further service in India, in consequence of lameness on account of a gun shot wound’. Sold with copied discharge papers and extract from rolls.
