Turkish Crimea 1855, Sardinian issue (1173 Pte. Jeremiah Flint, 5th Co. 28th Regt.) plugged, fitted with ‘Mutiny’ style suspension, slight edge bruising, very fine £60-80

Jeremiah Flint was born in St. Albans, Hertfordshire. A labourer by occupation, he enlisted into the 28th Regiment on 18 April 1836. He was discharged on 27 July 1857 as ‘unfit for further service from “Pulmonic disease and debility”’. At the time of his discharge he was in possession of four Good Conduct Badges, the L.S.& G.C. Medal and a gratuity of £5 awarded in 1857, together with medals for the Crimean War. Sold with copied discharge papers.
