2277/325217 Private Joseph Waitt, 9th Battalion Durham Light Infantry, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 20 April 1915. For his bravery during the course of the war he was awarded the Military Medal and Second Award Bar.

His brother, 8933 Private John Waitt, 4th Battalion Durham Light Infantry, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 4 January 1915. He was later discharged and awarded the Silver War Badge. Sold with copied research.
