One Pound, 2 May [20]05, 02H 000000, stamped specimen in red across each side, Whitaker-Murray signatures, two punch-holes in signature area (MacDevitt E-086; Pick 64c). Dates 0.1.04 and 04.3.75 in bottom margin, good extremely fine (£300-350)

This and the specimen notes in lots 2751, 2752, 2768, 2783 and 2801 were printed during the 1970s but carry fictitious dates. This was normal practice for specimens in the Lavery series
