Last only illustrated. The One Pound and Fifty Pound values are original specimens with 000000, the other denominations were taken from circulation and overstamped as specimens. 200 sets were prepared in 1991 and distributed to government offices, banks, post offices and building societies following a directive from the Treasury to raise the profile of Manx government notes. At a later date the Treasury requested the return of these specimen sets for destruction
