Nocq, three-quarter bust left, reverse standing figure of Joffre, part of his proclamation speech before the first Battle of the Marne at left, 68mm (CGMP p.292; BM Acq. 1983-7, p.22, 101; cf. DNW 37, 1248). Extremely fine and practically as struck, nicely patinated, an excellent example (£40-60)
