Victoria (1837-1901), Proof (?) Third-Farthing, 1868, bronze, edge plain, struck en médaille, 0.96gm (cf. BMC 1929; cf. SC 35; cf. Prid. Malta 7A). Extremely fine, retaining some brilliance in obverse field (£40-50)

Bt Minshull Oct. 1975 as a bronze proof, “the first I’ve seen.” Although the obverse displays some of the qualities one would expect in a proof, the reverse is dulled and not to proof standard
