Early Anglo-Saxon Period, Sceatta, Secondary types, Series J (probably York area), two heads vis-à-vis, long cross on pedestal in centre, reverse four birds clockwise around Greek cross, 0.99gm (Metcalf 296; BMC type 37; cf. Subjack 35; N 135; S 792). Very fine and nicely centred, the obverse particularly attractive (£200-250)
