France, Union Centrale des Beaux-Arts Appliqués à la Industrie, 1880, an oval bronze award badge, unsigned, artist’s easel, wine flagon and other accoutrements, rev. named (1e Section Modèles des Artistes, 2e Classe, Ferville-Suan), 71 x 52mm (cf. BDW 18, 393); Exposition Universelle Internationale, Paris, 1900, a bronze award medal by J.-C. Chaplain, head of La France right under the bough of a tree, rev. male figure holding torch above a winged female figure of Victory, Expo pavilion below, tablet named (Mme E. Lemaistre), 64mm (PBE 82; Baxter 95; BDM I, 404; cf. DNW 38, 747) [2]. Very fine and better (£40-60)
