Victoria (1837-1901), 1861, dies Hf, similar, rev. no signature, lighthouse with rounded top, 8.98g/12h (Gouby –; Satin 31a, this coin; F 27 [dies 5+F; Sale, lot 17]; Adams –; BMC –; S 3954). Two knocks to surface of reverse, only mediocre but of the highest rarity, perhaps only two or three known, the die combination not listed by Gouby (£30-50)

At the time of the Freeman sale it was believed that only one specimen was extant; Jerrams, in his 2001 ‘census’, only knew of this specimen but another is in a private collection in the USA
