France, La Meuse, 1939, a bronze medal by M. Renard, semi-naked female standing with urn, arms of France, Belgium and Nassau at sides, reverse fortress of Verdun, windmill and Palace of Liège, 59mm (CGMP p.339; cf. BDW 14, 774); together with Aimé Lepercq, Commandant Landry, 1945, a bronze medal by L. Bazor, bust right in spectacles, reverse legend in 5 lines, 69mm (CGMP –) [2]. First very fine, second about extremely fine; latter in red fitted case of issue (£30-40)
