France, François Seynoha, c.1905, a large uniface bronze plaque by M.-P. Lordonnois, bust right above views of the Seynoha business premises in Rouen and Paris, 242 x 163mm (BDM III, 471). Some light scratching by bust, otherwise very fine, rare (£30-50)

Exhibited by the artist, Marcel-Prosper Lordonnois, at the Paris Salon, 1905. François Seynoha was a furrier and couturier, with premises in Rouen and Paris. The plaque states that he was ‘furrier to the Queen of England’ (i.e. Queen Alexandra, wife of Edward VII)
