Great War Period Hand-Coloured Studio Photographic Portrait of an Army Officer in Uniform, wearing insignia of the Royal Berkshire Regiment, neatly inscribed under ‘Eustace Edward Lovett Phillips, killed while on duty in front trench at Albert, France on Oct. 30, 1915’, contained in a contemporay gilt-wood glazed frame, very good condition £30-50

Second Lieutenant Eustace Edward Lovett Phillips was killed in action on 30 October 1915, whilst serving with the 6th Battalion, Royal Berkshire Regiment. He is buried in Becourt Military Cemetery, France.
