Electrical Lieutenant Ivor Lawrence Linay, R.N.V.R., died on 2 November 1942, aged 35 years, whilst serving aboard H.M.M.L. 125. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Chatham Naval Memorial. He was the son of R. E. and Margaret E. Linay and husband of Phyllis D. Linay of Staplehurst, Kent. Sold with named condolence slip and card forwarding box addressed to Mrs P. D. Linay. Also with copied research. The M.L. 125 was built by J. S. Doig of Grimsby and launched on 9 November 1940. It was utilised by the Royal Netherlands Navy during 1940-41 and was offered up for sale in October 1945.
