John Howard Reay, who was born in Newcastle in July 1913, and enlisted in September 1940, was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the R.A. in March 1943.

Sold with a quantity of original documentation, including his Soldiers’ Service and Pay Book, military identity cards or passes (4), which reveal service in 596 H.A.A. Battery, R.A. at Gibraltar 1943-44, and several wartime photographs.
