Samuel Fulton was born in New Monkland, Lanarckshire and living in Greengairs, enlisted at Hamilton. Serving in “A” Company, 1st Battalion Scotish Rifles, he was killed in action on 24 October 1918, aged 23 years. He was buried in the Highland Cemetery, Le Cateau. He was the son of James and Isabella Dorman of Langdales Cottage, Greengairs, Airdrie.
