David Martin was born in Scoonie, Fifeshire and enlisted at Perth. Serving with the 1st Battalion Royal Highlanders (Black Watch), he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 13 August 1914. He was killed in action in the Battle of the Aisne on 14 September 1914. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on La Ferte-sous-Jouarre Memorial. Sold with copied research.
