David Lloyd was born in Liverpool on 8 June 1886. He enlisted into the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class on 13 February 1903. Based in Chatham at the start of the war, he was sent overseas and served on H.M. Train ‘Churchill’. He was demobilized at the end of the war. His papers show that during the course of his naval career he deserted on five occasions. Sold with copied research.
