449 Private Lawrence Harold Farries, 8th Battalion A.I.F., was killed in action on 20 September 1917, aged 25 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial. A native of Mansfield, Victoria, he was the son of Robert and Mary Farries of 26 Butler Street North, Richmond, Victoria.

923 Private Henry Nelson Merson (served as H. Nelson), 24th Battalion A.I.F., was killed in action on 5 August 1916, aged 35 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial. Born in New Zealand, he was the son of Thomas and Amy Louisa Merson.
