Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, 2 clasps, Suakin 1885, Tofrek (759 Pte. G. Liddiard, 1/Berks. R.) good very fine and a rare casualty £1200-1500

Private George Liddiard was killed in action at Tofrek on 22 March 1885. The regiment had 18 men killed and a further three who subsequently died of their wounds. For their distinguished conduct at this battle the Berkshires gained the prefix ‘Royal’. Sold with copies of relevant medal rolls and casualty lists.
