A substantial Archive relating to the Leicestershire Regiment, including 12 folders containing extracts from the ‘Green Tiger’, cuttings from the Leicester Mercury, medal lists and magazines and others, relating to the regiment and others items of interest; some original material includes W.W.I period photographs and letters home from Leicestershire prisoners-of-war, later material includes two propaganda leaflets from the Korean War; additional items include two ring-bound folders holding photocopied orders for the 1st Battalion, Leicestershire Regiment, 1914-17; plus copied medal rolls for the 17th Regiment for the Crimea and the 2nd Batt. Leicestershire Regt. for ‘Burma 1887-9’; Leicestershire Regiment Roll of Honour 1939-45; a casualty list for the Far East up to 30 September 1942; a copied War Diary for November 1951; together with sundry newspapers, magazines, pamphlets and photocopies, two micro-film spools and two framed regimental silks, sold as found (lot) £30-50
